Tafara Goro
Tafara Goro holds the LLB (Hons) Degree from the University Of Zimbabwe where he graduated top of his class and received the Law Society of Zimbabwe award for best law student of 2015. He was admitted to practice as Legal practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary public in October 2015. He has been in private practice since then. Tafara joined the firm in 2018 and is an associate in the Labour, Constitutional & Rights Services Department working under Alec Muchadehama. He has a growing interest in research and general litigation practice.

Daniel Mbidzo holds the LLB (HONS) degree from the University of Zimbabwe. He was admitted to practice as a Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public in February of 1995. He has been in private practice since then. He was a partner at Chihambakwe Mutizwa & Partners for two and a half years. In March 2001, Daniel teamed up with three others to set up Mbidzo, Muchadehama and Makoni. He holds the LLM (Specialising in Banking) from the University of South Africa and is pursuing further studies in administration and finance. He currently serves as the Managing Partner in the firm, and chairs the Finance and Administration sub-committee of the partnership. He also heads the Commercial and Corporate Services Department. He assists the Law Society of Zimbabwe with continuous Legal Education for legal practitioners in practice.

Alec Muchadehama holds the BL. (Hons), LL.B and MBA degrees from the University of Zimbabwe. Admitted to practice in Zimbabwe as a Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public in October 1991, Alec Muchadehama served as a public prosecutor for seven years and has a wide experience in criminal litigation. Alec has also been a part-time Commissioner (Presiding Officer) of the Small Claims Court at the Bulawayo Magistrates’ Courts, Tredgold for three years. He resigned from the Ministry of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs having risen to the rank of Senior Law Officer. He joined private practice in 1997, at Chihambakwe Mutizwa & Partners. He was a partner for one and a half years at Chihambakwe Mutizwa & Partners before he resigned to set up Mbidzo, Muchadehama and Makoni in 2001. He has won several local and international awards for his advocacy for Human Rights and Rule of Law in Zimbabwe, notably the inaugural Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights Lawyer (2003), Nominee for the Human Rights Lawyer of the year for the years 2004-2006, inaugural winner of the Artists for Human Rights Festival Award 2007-08, inaugural winner of the Civic Organisations Human Rights Award 2010, first runner up for the Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association Human Rights Award 2011, the inaugural Dutch Foundation Lawyers for Lawyers Award 2011 and the Walter Kamba Rule of Law Award 2014 which was conferred by the Law Society of Zimbabwe. He is the current board chairperson for the Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) and the transitional Justice Working Group in Zimbabwe. He also sits on the Belvedere Techncal Teachers’ College (BTTC) and Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights (ZADHR) Boards.

Andrew Makoni holds the LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same university. He was admitted to practice law in Zimbabwe as a legal practitioner, conveyancer and notary public in 1996. He has been in private practive ever since then. He was admitted into partnership at Chihambakwe Mutizwa & Partners in the year 2000. He resigned from the partnership in 2001 to help set up Mbidzo, Muchadehama and Makoni Legal Practitioners, where he is currently practicing. Andrew is the recipient of the prestigious International Human Rights Lawyer of the Year award (2009) conferred by the International Section of American Bar Association (ABA), in recognition of his advocacy for human rights in Zimbabwe. He is the 10th to be honoured by ABA since 1990 and only the 3rd in Africa. He also chaired the board of directors for the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights between 2008 and 2013. He still sits on the board. Between July and August of 2009, Andrew participated in the International Visitors Programme and Germany visitors programme (VLP), on US Judicial Systems II, courtesy of the US Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. He also participated in the Federal Government of Germany’s Visitors Programme for African NGOs and Human Rights Commission in September 2012 focusing on Human Rights Institutions in Germany. He is the partner responsible for Client Care and Business Development and chairs the Marketing and client Care sub-committee of the partnership.

Charles Kwaramba holds the LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of Zimbabwe. He was admitted to practice law in Zimbabwe as a legal practitioner and conveyancer in 2004. He is also a registered Estate Administrator. He has been in Practice since then. He was admitted into the partnership of Mbidzo, Muchadehama and Makoni Legal Practitioners in March of 2008. He is currently pursuing media studies. Charles is the recipient of the Zimbabwe Lawyers For Human Rights, Lawyer of the Year 2011 for his commitment and dedication to the protection and promotion of human rights. He is the board member for Amnesty International Zimbabwe. He heads the General Litigation Department.

Jeremiah holds the LLB (Hons) Degree from the University Of Zimbabwe . He was admitted to practice as Legal practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary public in December 2007 and has been in private practice since then. He has been with the firm since 2007. Between 2010 – 2015, he joined the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights and had another brief stint with Tamuka Moyo Attorneys briefly before re-joining the firm in August 2016. He has a wealth of experience in human rights, constitutional law and labour litigation. He is an award winning human rights lawyer, having been conferred with the Law Society of Zimbabwe Young Human Rights Lawyer of the Year award sponsored by Scanlen and Holderness in 2011.

Rutendo joined the firm in February 2017 and is an Associate in the Municipal Law and Family Law department, working under Charles Kwaramba. She has a specialised interest in municipal and general litigation practice.
